pondering

Thought I'd share a bit of my plans for the New Year:

I plan this year to focus my writing on a Christian Universalism rooted in the Way of Jesus. [The "way of Jesus" will interpret how I understand the scriptures, rather than scriptures interpreting how I am to view Jesus.] and from this perspective how Christian Universalism can be as a tool to re-imagine Christianity for our meta-modern era. Former concepts (and writers) will inform me, but I plan to forge (at least for myself) a speculative re-imagined Christianity that offers something for our life other than "salvation" from hell. One that offers harmony with the divine, beginning in the present space and moment. One that understands that the Incarnation began "before there was" and exists within the entirety of the universe. One that postulates that God has never had a need to restore humankind (or creation) to the divine self. Rather, it is we who need to restore ourselves to that divine image within.
